It came to me the other day that jewelry should not be considered just an accessory. Jewelry has a longer life in the fashion cycle than clothing does, so why has it become the less important of the two?  The emphasis on clothing trends has over powered the jewelry industry for too long. Jewelry is what truly makes an outfit your own so it is time to think about buying your clothing to match your jewelry instead of the other way around. This interesting philosophy is one I know may seen a little out there at first, however after thinking about it the idea of jewelry being more dominant, it really does make perfect sense since we tend to buy clothing more often than we do jewelry. Next time you are shopping for a new dress think about your favorite pieces of jewelry back home, or even better bring them along with you shopping to be able to perfectly accessorize them with a new outfit.
